Assemblies

Each year Lower School students experience an exceptional assembly program.  In 2009-10, students met author/illustrator and MFS alum Brian Weaver a.k.a Neil Numberman.  The children got to "Meet the Musician" Beethoven and saw performances by the Philharmonic of Southern NJ, the Walnut Street Theatre, the Garden State Percussion Trio and MFS’ own Paper Bag Players.  Students heard renowned story teller Ellen Musikant and participated in hands-on activities with the Franklin Institute and Wildlife Encounters.  Lower School students got to take center stage during several assemblies including a play about Martin Luther King, Jump Rope for Heart, a 4th grade Service Club presentation, and an assembly about the Winter Olympics.
