Robotics Teams Fare Well in New York Competition

Two Moorestown Friends School Robotics teams competed in the regional Robotics Institute Tech Challenge at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY on December 5. Both teams, the Foxes and the Hawks, came home with awards and the Foxes earned an automatic bid to the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) World Championship Event to be held in Atlanta in April. The Foxes earned the coveted Inspire Award, which recognizes the team that embodies the “challenge” of the FTC program. This team is chosen by judges as the best representing a role model FTC Team. Temporary Classrooms Arrive; Installation over Winter Break

Four temporary classroom units (TCUs) arrived on campus last week. Due to heavy rain which significantly softened the ground, the TCUs have yet to be placed in their final location behind the tennis courts. This is expected to take place over Winter Break. The TCUs will provide four classrooms for Upper School social studies and Middle/Upper School math. All four classrooms are air conditioned and will contain interactive whiteboards. The School Committee authorized the temporary classroom units while a long-term solution is developed to address the need for additional classroom space as identified in the campus Master Plan.
