FOUR MFS STUDENTS WIN GOLD MEDALS ON NATIONAL SPANISH EXAM

Four Moorestown Friends School (MFS) students won gold medal placements for their excellent performance on the 2008 National Spanish Examinations, which were taken by 110,000 students this year. The National Spanish Examinations are administered annually in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Gold medal recognition goes to students scoring at or above the 95th percentile. 

Gold medalists from MFS were junior Hannah Spielberg, eighth graders Edward Barrett  and Angel Mathew, and seventh grader Sarah Master.

In total, 47 MFS students won awards (ranging from gold medals to honorable mention).

The MFS Spanish teachers are: World Languages Chair Josafina Paolello, Alejandra Aguilar, Robert Buscaglia, Mariana Falana, Valerie Franz, Emily Romero, Karen Washington, and Maureen Zausner.
