80 CAMPS, PENGUINS, DORA & MORE AT THE MFS SUMMER ADVENTURES CAMP FAIR!

MOORESTOWN -- Moorestown Friends School Parent Council will host the 14th Annual Summer Adventures Camp Fair – the biggest Camp Fair in South Jersey – from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Feb. 4. The event, held in the MFS Field House, is free and open to the public.

Although summer is months away, now is the time to be thinking of summer camp options for your children. With such a terrific number of camps, this is a great one-stop event for you to find the perfect camp for your kids. Representatives from 80 camps will be on hand to talk with you about their programs and the interests of your children.

New this year will be representatives from SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Adventures Camp, who will bring penguins! Also, “Dora the Explorer” will meet with kids at the fair and there will be face painting. You can buy refreshments and have lunch while your check out the camps. 

Wouldn’t your teenager have a memorable experience at New York University’s Pre-College Summer Camp, studying game design, fashion or digital movie making? Budding scientists will want to check out Science Camp Watonka, the Franklin Institute Discovery Camp or make plans to study marine biology at The Whale Camp. Is theatre in your child’s future? Talk with the representatives at the Arden Theater Company and Appel Farm. Are your kids into computers?  Visit with Cybercamps and Emagination Computer Camps.

Is your child longing for adventure? Would traveling to Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, London or Costa Rica excite them? Actionquest, Adventures Cross-Country, Nova Explorations, Westcoast Connection and Wildness Ventures are just some of the travel camp representatives who will meet you at the Camp Fair.

Scores of traditional camps like ESF, Julian Krinsky Camps, Tall Pines and Flying Moose Lodge  – which feature sports, crafts, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, sailing and more – will also be at the Camp Fair. Learn about camps in the Delaware Valley, as well as camps based in the Poconos, New York, West Virginia, Maine and beyond. 

Boys, girls, co-ed, day and residential camps will be present, including those with part-time, week-long and eight-week offerings for campers from pre-school through high school. 

Whether your kids are looking for adventure, computers, performing arts, science, travel or penguins, you’ll find the camp that’s the perfect match at the MFS Camp Fair. 

Moorestown Friends School is minutes from the Moorestown Mall, at the intersection of Main Street and Chester Avenue in Moorestown. Directions to MFS can be found on the school’s web page www.mfriends.org. You can also call (856) 235-2900, press “6” and then “5” at the prompts for directions. Park in the back lot and head toward the tennis courts and you’ll see the entrance to the Field House and Camp Fair.
