MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO EXPERIENCE “THE WORLD OF TUTANKHAMUN”

 

On April 16 and 17, Moorestown Friends School Middle School students will participate in a living history program, “The World of Tutankhamun.” 

On Monday, April 16 at 11:30 a.m., in the MFS Auditorium, all Middle School students will view an original play performed by the fifth grade, “The Mummification of King Tutankhamun.”  At 1 p.m. and 1:55 p.m., they will choose to participate in two of fifteen 45-minute hands-on workshops offered highlighting the life and culture of ancient Egyptians. Titles of the workshops are listed below.

  • Cats, Dogs and Other Sacred Beasts 
  • Storytelling 
  • Egyptian Sports  
  • Tomb Painting 
  • Scavenger Hunt  

 

On April 17, the students will travel to the Franklin Institute where they will visit the acclaimed King Tut exhibit, and view an IMAX film on the same topic.
