John Gurrieri, of Medford, a freshman at Yale University and a 2006 graduate of Moorestown Friends School, has qualified for the NCAA Fencing Championships to be held at Drew University in Madison, NJ from March 22-25. He earned his spot by virtue of his performance this past weekend at the NCAA Northeast Regional in Somerville, MA. In the foil, Gurrieri placed seventh to secure automatic qualification, awarded to the top eight finishers. To visit the Yale Sports Information recap, click here.
The MFS Boys Foil Team captured its fourth straight NJSIAA championship in February.
