MFS Moorestown Friends School

The Annual Fund - Q & A

Q: What is the difference between the Annual Fund and capital and endowment fundraising?

A: The Annual Fund addresses today’s needs and directly supports every aspect of the day-to-day educational program. Capital campaigns are special appeals to raise large sums, typically for improvements in the physical plant or for the endowment, such as our recent Campaign for Arts, Athletics and Endowment, which enabled us to renovate the Arts Center, build the Field House Addition and increase the school’s endowment. The Dining Hall Commons, another recent addition to campus, was built as a result of Campaign 2000.

The Annual Fund pays MFS’ bills, while capital campaigns build our dreams. Donors are asked to make a gift to the Annual Fund first, before determining their capital and endowment giving plans.
