Support MFS - Planned Giving Legacy Society Established in 1999, the Legacy Society of Moorestown Friends School honors the vision of those who have included the School in their estate plans. The peony is the symbol of the Legacy Society. For today's alumni and students, the peony denotes graduation - a time to direct the learning and experiences gained at MFS to a new beginning. Bequests - Moorestown Friends School has been the recipient of bequests both large and small from alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, faculty and friends over the years. Through these gifts, each generation has helped the next to experience the richness of of a Moorestown Friends School education. By providing resources for faculty salaries, scholarships, support for academic programs and endowment growth, estate gifts have strengthened and preserved the School. For detailed information on making a bequest to MFS, click here. Life Income Gifts - There are several ways you can make a gift of appreciated assts to MFS and still receive income for life. A Charitable Gift Annuity will provide you with a fixed, quarterly income payment for life, based on your age at the time of the gift. For detailed information on the Charitable Gift Annuity Program, click here. By Contributing to the MFS Pooled Life Income Fund, your gift is invested and combined with the gifts of other donors. Interest is paid to the beneficiaries on a quarterly basis for their lifetimes. For information on the MFS Pooled Life Income Fund, click here. With a Charitable Remainder Unitrust, your gift is invested and you receive a fixed percentage of the investment each year. The value of the investment is updated annually, so the value of your income can grow as does the investment. To learn more about a Charitable Remainder Unitrust, contact the Development Office. The Legacy Society - The society includes those individuals who make provisions for MFS in a will, name the School as beneficiary in a life insurance policy or an individual retirement account (IRA), establish a trust or charitable gift annuity to benefit MFS, or take part in the Pooled Life Income Fund. If you have provided for MFS in your estate plans, please share this information with the School so that your generosity can be acknowledged and you may be welcomed into the Legacy Society. Society members are recognized each year in the School's Annual Report. Requests for anonymmity are honored. If you would like to have more information about including MFS in your estate plans, the Development Office would be pleased to discuss various deferred gift options which may best meet your needs and wishes.
