About the DeCou Scholarship
The DeCou Scholarship is funded by the estate of Tom and Wilda DeCou. Tom DeCou graduated from Moorestown Friends in 1930, and he and his wife Wilda had seven children who graduated from MFS. The DeCou family was well-known as fruit growers in South Jersey in the middle part of the 20th century. Tom and Wilda served on the MFS Board of Trustees, and Tom was active in the Moorestown Friends Meeting, New Jersey Farm Bureau, and New Jersey Horticultural Society. Tom also served on the Farmland Preservation Study Committee for Moorestown Township in the 1970s.
