Six Moorestown Friends School students participated in the University of the Sciences’ 5th Annual Healthy Lifestyles Competition, which culminated with presentations on Saturday, November 1 in Philadelphia.

The team of seniors Megan Le, Luke Shaffer, and Aliya Williams won second prize for their entry titled “Snack Swap Challenge.” The three shared a $1,000 cash award.

Senior Jackie Sackstein’s entry, “To the Beat of the Bench Press,” won fourth place ($250 cash award).

Also competing were seniors Hannah Creighton and Chelsey Flax.

Competitors were posed with the question: How would you convince people to make healthy lifestyle decisions? They were then charged with creating a social media campaign which they presented to judges on Saturday. The entries were judged on creativity/originality; understanding the target audience; social media strategy; presentation skills; and social media campaign materials.
