Marianne’s MFS roots are deep. She became affiliated with the school as a volunteer more than twenty years ago when her son began as a student here, and she’s seen her son and two daughters through to graduation. She continued to work as the assistant vice president for marketing and sales at Consolidated Rail Corporation during her early years as an MFS volunteer.  However, she eventually left that position to focus on her role as a parent, and eventually she became employed at MFS as a sought-after substitute librarian and teacher. She will join Head Librarian Martha Reilly and Lower School Librarian Deb Alterman on the second floor as the part-time assistant librarian.

“My educational philosophy is to explore deep independent thought. [Students should] always ask “what if…,” said Marianne.

She is looking forward to working with the MFS students on a daily basis. She loves reading, the beach and sports, and playing tennis and golf in her free time. She is an avid lover of MFS’ sports teams in all seasons, and she can often be found cheering on her children’s successors.
