Suzanne Abrams joined the Development Office in July as the Director of Parent and Alumni Programs. In her role, she will manage the logistics of many events, including grandparents days, Alumni Weekend, Camp Fair, the Parent Council Auction, regional alumni gatherings, and more. She will also work to support the Alumni Association and Parent Council to plan alumni class reunions across the decades.

A familiar face to many in the MFS community already, Suzanne has been an active parent volunteer since 2011, having served as Upper School Division Coordinator for Parent Council, 2015 Project Graduation Chair, a Leadership Circle volunteer, and a committee chair for the Auction. She and her husband, Brad, have two MFS children, Scott ’15 and Melissa ’17.

“My son recently graduated and my daughter will be a senior this year, and I value the marvelous education and sense of community at Moorestown Friends,” said Suzanne. “I appreciate the tremendous contributions the Development Office provides for the school and the students, and, in this role, I am looking forward to working together with parents, alumni, faculty, and students to develop an even more active and involved parental and alumni base. I also hope to create and facilitate unique and interesting programming.”

Suzanne holds a B.S. in Accountancy from George Washington University, as well as a J.D. from George Washington. Previously, she was Vice President at Sedgwick Noble Lowndes and a Senior Consultant with Deloitte & Touche, concentrating in ERISA and retirement plans. She took a hiatus from her career to raise her family, but still pursued leadership volunteer positions at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, Cherry Hill Zone PTA, Rosa International Middle School PTA, and Johnson Elementary School PTA. Since 2012, she has been an educator with Source4Teachers.

Suzanne’s personal interests include needlepoint, using different stitches to make interesting pieces of art, and cooking new healthy recipes for her family and friends.
