Moorestown Friends School has won two awards in the American Scholastic Press Association’s Annual Review for Scholastic Yearbooks, Magazines and Newspapers for production of the 2012-13 yearbook, The Cupola.

The school received an overall First Place award for excellence in the fields of writing, photography, and page design and a special recognition for Best Theme.

“This was the first time entering the book into a nationwide competition, and we are very proud to have received such prestigious awards,” said English Teacher and Advisor Emily Maciolek.

Many of the staff members from last year’s yearbook are still MFS students and are working hard on production of the 2013-14 edition. Editors-in-Chief from the award-winning 2012-13 edition were Nicole Hovatter, Annie O’Donnell, and Lauren Carney. This year’s Editors-in-Chief are seniorsMorgan Sloan, Amy Gilligan, and Emma Cain.
