Faculty Openings

Early Elementary Teacher

Full-time lead early elementary teacher. Classroom experience and B.A. in elementary education or early childhood education required. Master’s degree preferred. Middle School History Teacher
Experience teaching humanities, a degree in history or a related field, and a master’s degree are preferred. Candidates should be familiar with the developmental needs of middle school learners. Additionally, candidates should be interested in the collaborative development of interdisciplinary and project-based learning experiences to build upon current programs. Upper Elementary Teacher

Upper School Spanish Teacher

Experience teaching AP Spanish, a degree in Spanish, and a master’s degree preferred. Additionally, candidates should have a familiarity with ACTFL standards and current trends in second language acquisition, including comprehensible input and TPR/TPRS methodologies. Candidates need not be experts or trained in a specific methodology; rather, candidates should be open to collaboration using a variety of approaches in the target language to encourage thoughtful communication in the classroom and beyond. Lower School Librarian

Lower School Librarian to manage the collection and program for a preschool – fourth grade library. Crossing Guard

Summer Programs Openings

Hiring Now through March 31. All inquiries should be directed to Martha Cameron, Director of Summer/Auxiliary Programs. Please send a resume, cover letter, and three references. Email applications are preferred: mcameron@mfriends.org.

Extended Day Coordinator

Four (4) positions available for AM and PM supervision before and after Summer Programs. Hours run 7:45 – 9:00 am, 3:00 – 5:30 pm. Organizing and implementing safe and engaging activities for a wide range of ages.

BSI/WSI Head Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

This person is responsible for supervising the pool area as well as providing guidance to the support Lifeguards. Main duties will include weekly swim assessments of each student in the class along with basic instruction for three days of the week. Pool hours run 9:00 – 11:30 am and 12:30 – 3:00 pm daily.

Camp Nurse

Full time camp nurse needed for six-week program. LPN or RN required. School nurse experience is preferred.

Student Intern for 6 weeks of summer programs

Seven (7) positions available (MFS students and graduates only)
