LS and Grade 5 Coding Teacher Liz Kahn led a hands-on workshop for students, parents, and teachers entitled Code Like A Girl at the #LEADLIKEAGIRL conference on April 8 at Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton, NJ. During her 45 minute workshop, Mrs. Kahn showcased different resources for teaching computer science and critical thinking to young learners and shared suggestions for how each grade level could get involved. Participants had the opportunity to use Blockly, a visual block programming code editor, to complete robot challenges and online projects like creating emojis and hacking Minecraft.

The #LEADLIKEAGIRL conference was designed to inspire girls’ confidence, creativity, and leadership in STEM and entrepreneurship.
