Middle and Upper School French Classes Participate in Exchange with French School

Oct 8, 2020

This year, eighth and ninth grade French classes will participate in both synchronous and asynchronous exchanges with a private Catholic school in France, Collège Saint Régis. The classes will use Zoom, FlipGrid, Padlet, and ePals to connect the students globally while in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

French Teacher Jennifer Murphy made the connection through her participation in the Global Teaching Dialogue, an annual opportunity for teachers across the world to connect and learn about global education resources. In conjunction with Collège Saint Régis teacher Stéphanie Chomat, the curriculum for these classes now includes a written post and spoken message for each unit test. These interactions allow the classes to use technology to connect young people globally and give their learning a real purpose and audience.
