Peter Xia ’22 and Logan Shields ’25 Capture FSL Swimming Gold Medals

Three individual gold medals highlighted a successful Friends Schools League Championship Meet for the Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming teams on Saturday, February 12 at George School.

Peter Xia ’22 captured two individual championships, both in school record time: he won the 200 freestyle (1:47.56) and 100 backstroke (53.68).

Logan Shields ’25 won gold in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.81.

Other medalists for the Foxes were:

• Julia Brown ’24 – silver medal in 100 butterfly
• Katie Kirchhoff ’24, Vivian Messina ’23, Ava Ellis ’25, and Julia Brown – bronze in 200 freestyle relay
• Ava Parker ’22, Ava Ellis, Logan Shields, and Katie Kirchhoff – bronze in 200 medley relay

The MFS Girls’ Swimming team finished in third place in the team standings and the Boys’ Swimming team finished in fourth place.
