Moorestown Friends won a terrific game on Tuesday defeating then 15-4-1 Holy Spirit 3-1. Kieran Lees led Moorestown Friends with a two-goal effort in the game, and she has amassed 15 goals on the season. The team leader for Moorestown Friends in goals is Vanessa Kara with 24 on the season. Kara and Lees make one of the more potent scoring tandems in South Jersey. Kara also leads the team with 12 assists on the season.
Moorestown Friends has defeated multiple teams from Pennsylvania on the season including Friends Central, and their diverse schedule has prepped them well for the rigors of the state tournament. Also having tough one goal defeats against Peddie and Hun on their schedule, Moorestown Friends is a very worthy sectional finalist.
