The Moorestown Friends School Golf team captured the Friends Schools League (FSL) championship for the first time in school history yesterday. The FSL has been sponsoring golf as an official sport since 2000.

FSL officials determine the champion via a formula which combines regular season standings with tournament performance. MFS hosted the league tournament yesterday at Rancocas Country Club, where the Foxes foursome of Alec Ryden ’19 (78), Kian Canelas ’21 (86), Jalen Patel ’20 (94), and Justin Patel ’20 (96) finished first with a cumulative score of 354. Combined with their second place regular season finish, the Foxes earned the league championship.

Additional members of the varsity team are: Natalie Julian ’21, Chris Little ’21, Skye Mada ’22, Peter Tummarello ’22, and Dylan Zhou ’19. The team is coached by Joe O’Hara.
