Sixth grader Katia Hehn is the first place winner in the Grades 4-6 category of the 2014 Burlington Soil Conservation District “Dig Deeper” Poster Contest. There were 93 poster entries from 9 different county schools. Hehn wins a $200 cash prize and her poster is entered into state competition.

Her entry was part of an assignment in Deborah Lord’s sixth grade Earth and Space Science class. After completing the assignment, all students were provided with the option to submit their poster to the county competition.
