Spring Break Re-entry Testing and Travel Information

All students, faculty, and staff will be required to complete re-entry testing and produce a negative COVID test result before returning to in-person learning after Spring Break. see chart below

Non-Essential Travel Discouraged

Non-essential travel is still strongly discouraged by the state and by Moorestown Friends School. If you intend to travel, your child may not be eligible to do re-entry testing through the MFS program and may need to secure a COVID test on their own. We are following the current state travel guidelines which require travelers to self-quarantine at their home if they are returning from any U.S. state or territory beyond the immediate region (NY, CT, PA, and DE) or from any international destination. If travel is unavoidable, travelers should be tested with a PCR test 3-5 days after the trip. The day of return from travel is Day Zero and the day after return is Day One, etc. Please note that these state quarantine requirements are subject to change at any time.

  • If an individual tests negative, they must quarantine for a full 7 days after travel, even if the test result is secured before the end of the 7-day quarantine period.
  • If an individual tests positive, they should self-isolate for at least 10 days. If a student or household member tests positive, please notify the school nurse for further guidance.

Testing and Return Date Guidance

Depending on your Spring Break plans, you may need to have your child tested for COVID outside of the MFS re-entry testing program. Please refer to the chart below (best viewed on a computer) to know the testing date range that is required by the state, as well as the date when your child can return to campus following quarantine. If your child is being tested for COVID outside of the MFS program, please complete this form by March 22 so that we are informed of your child’s anticipated return. If you have any questions about your child’s return date, please contact the nurse at nurse@mfriends.org.
