Two Teams Vie for NJSIAA Sectional Titles

A historic fall sports season has continued this week as two Foxes varsity teams have advanced to their respective sectional championships.

Field Hockey (19-1) travels to top-seeded Camden Catholic today at 4 p.m. for the NJSIAA Non-Public B South championship. It is the first sectional championship appearance in program history. The third-seeded Foxes enjoyed a dramatic overtime victory over second-seeded Red Bank Catholic on Friday. Bella McCollister scored the tying goal with 46 seconds remaining and Lauren Phillips provided the winner in OT, her second of the game. View bracket.

Boys’ Soccer (16-5) qualified for the NJSIAA Non-Public B South championship match yesterday thanks to a 4-0 victory over Holy Cross. Matt D’Ottavi erupted for four goals in the first half and Mikey Paznokas registered five saves for the shutout. The second-seeded Foxes travel to Edison Thursday to face top-seeded Wardlaw-Hartridge at 1 p.m.. They seek their third sectional title in five years. View bracket.
