The MFS History Bowl team competed in the Southern New Jersey History Bee and Bowl on Saturday, December 14 in Toms River, NJ. Two students qualified for national competitions, and several others may also qualify after further placements are announced early next year. 

This weekend marked the first time two teams competed as varsity with new members on the varsity team. The members of Varsity Team A include: Kayla Patel ’21, Colin Cooper ’22, Namyr Hammond ’21, and Will Troy ’21, and the members of Team B include: Andrew Gray ’21, Om Patil ’21, Matt Tom ’21, and Cole Harvey ’21.

Om Patil ’21 – 5th place – placed for nationals

U.S. History Bee

The team, which had a successful 2019 on both regional and national levels, will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Regional History Bee and Bowl at Princeton University in March.
