Oct 2, 2023

Assistant Athletic Director Bryan Wright, who began in his position this summer, was recognized on September 19 by the Virtua Community Service & Wellness Program for his work with the Moorestown Township High School Boys’ Lacrosse program. Bryan received a certificate of recognition as their Eat Well – Be Well Award inaugural honoree. Bryan served as the Moorestown High School Resource Officer, a Moorestown Police Officer, Lacrosse Coach, and Referee, and has been a community service leader in Moorestown. During the ceremony, Moorestown Boys’ Lacrosse Coach Brian Cary shared: “Officer Bryan Wright has been an integral part of the Moorestown lacrosse family. Aside from raising his children to be phenomenal lacrosse players themselves, he embedded himself in the community to help make the Moorestown lacrosse programs what they are today. From the boys’ lacrosse side, Bryan has been helping to coach and educate the players in the rules and nuances of the sport. He is often found on the field with our varsity teams during the offseason to help improve skills and attitudes before the spring season. He is a trusted member of the boys’ lacrosse family and will always have an open invitation to help whenever he is available. Moorestown and the lacrosse communities thank him for his time and effort in building great traditions, people, and players.”

Bryan’s son Bryan Jr. graduated from Moorestown in 2016 and played lacrosse for five years* at the University of Tampa where he was an NCAA Division II All-American. His daughter Brittney graduated from Moorestown in 2016 and played five years* of lacrosse at the University of Richmond where she was a regional All-American.

Congratulations, Bryan!

* NCAA student-athletes who competed during the COVID-19 pandemic were granted an extra year of eligibility.
