Upper School Student Earns Spot at National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute

Upper School Student Livia Kam ’26 has been selected to participate in the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute (NSO SMI) at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Following a competitive audition process, Livia secured a full scholarship for the four-week camp, where she will join 60 high school and college students from across the United States and abroad.

During her time at the NSO SMI, Livia will engage in a program featuring full orchestra and chamber music rehearsals, private lessons, master classes, and collaborative performances with members of the National Symphony Orchestra. As an accomplished violist, Livia also holds positions as Assistant Principal violist for both the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and the Temple Music Prep Youth Chamber Orchestra.
