All MFS juniors take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and three students were recognized for their top performance results.

Andrew Landesman ’18 and Ian Millstein ’18 were named as Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students place among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2018 competition by taking the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Andrew and Ian were recognized for their exceptional academic promise with a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program.

Dakota Chambers ’18 was named as a National Hispanic Scholar by the College Board in the 2018 National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP). National Hispanic Scholars scored in the top 2.5% among Hispanic and Latino test takers in the region for the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
